The Burke-Gaffney Observatory runs public tours roughly every other weekend, all throughout the year. Check above for the currently-published schedule.

You can expect there to be breaks in tour schedules during student exam periods in April and December, and at the beginning of term in September and January.

Tuesday 4 February 2025 from 7:00pm-9:00pm

Location: Atlantic Photo Supply, 204 Brownlow Avenue, Un it 110, Dartmouth

Free Urban Star Party: Join amateur astronomers from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada at Atlantic Photo Supply (Burnside location) in viewing the Moon, planets, star clusters, and more! RASC Halifax Centre members will be there with a variety of telescopes to provide thrilling views of night-sky wonders, as well as to answer any of your astronomy-related questions. All are welcome, especially families with children! Refreshments will be provided by Atlantic Photo Supply. More information available on the Halifax RASC website (including if the event will be cancelled due to weather).
